On hopping off the Greyhound, a monument to fallen Confederates welcomes me to the South. Took a trip out to the North Carolina State fair where you can see five legged donkeys, 2 headed racoons, the worlds biggest horse and the world's smallest woman. (In fairness the live music and food were great.)  Most of the attendees sported McCain and Palin badges. So all in all, this is what those lefty New Yorkers had told me to expect as I ventured South. Raleigh is a pleasant friendly place all the same and was good to catch up with Sean, an old housemate from Vancouver.
