Got into Washtington late afternoon and was a little surprised at how quiet it was as the evening rolled in. There were hoards gathered around the White House but the had the National Mall almost to myself as I walked from the Lincoln Monument up to Capitol Hill. Things were a bit livelier the following night in Georgetown where the pubs were packed for the second Presidential debate.
