Day one was certainly the baptism of fire promised in the guidebooks. Well worth the effort for the views though. Daily routine is waking around 6.30 to hopfully cover the 20 to 30ks by lunchtime. The rest of the day is pretty much lazing about eating super food, drinkin beer, and talkin sh1te to people you hardly know. So as pilgrimages go, you can do worse. there´s a nice mix of city and country too. Lived it up in Logroņo, the home of Rioja wine. It was well deserved though as the 2 days beforehand were insufferably hot - confrimed by the fact that the heatwave was headline news on Spanish TV.
