Ok, So as you could imagine, my cash supply was not unlimited, and things are getting harder, I was running out of cash, and I did not want to leave England as this is my launch pad for west europe and I have not even started.
For the last 2 weeks I had looked hard for work, but things were looking bleak. I knew it would only have been a matter of time until I found a job, but at that point, time was the one thing which I did not have. Over this period I must have registered with about 35 IT employment companies. I did get offered one job with orange doing 1st level support in the first 2 days but I turned it down as it was like the helpdesk back at node, and I was not going to do that again, I had decided that I have done my quoter to get a better job in the industry. I had lots of calls back from the agencies but no Interviews. I had been staying with some Kiwi's, SA, and Lou for the last 2 weeks trying my ass to get a job. But 2 weeks was about to run out. So rather than signing a crap contract which I would hate, I bit the bullet and did it like I was 20 again. I went to work in a Pub.
This was by far the last resort but it provided a food, a bed and a small amount of cash to live on. Things, well, to say the least were fine, but not looking good. I did not want to do this for ever and I had decided come mid January if I did not have a real job, I was going home to get a real Job. So here is Bagshot, Surrery. Its where prince Harry lives. The pub is opersite his place. People here are fairly nice, with the occasional dickhead coming into the bar. From the few shifts I worked I noticed people could not hold there grog or drugs for that matter. They would get smashed so easily and make fools out of themselfs.
But all the staff were welcoming, for a pub which had the same fate as my uncles place. This pub was about to go under within the year due to the lack of customers. What killed the pub was the fact all the pubs in the area aquired a late licence which only The Bann had before. This was a real killer for the business as now people had a choice on where to go so the late night business was cut by 4/5ths. Anyways, Here are a few photo's for the week which I had to stay and work there to survive. It was an experience I will never forget. More thumbnails ...
