We left Pucon and took the seven lake route to Valdivia, stopping to see the lava path of Volcan Villarica and calling in at Lican Ray to see Calafquen Lake and Panguipulli (meaning land of the pumas) to see Panguipulli Lake. The lakes, mountains and volcanoes along the way were stunning, but itīs really amazing to think that the landscape here is still changing and that man has to keep adapting each time a volcano erupts.
Valdivia is a riverside town, which is said to be the most beautiful in Chile - we didnīt think so! Although there were sealions there. Maybe our expectations were too high. Made up for it by having a massage and then stayed in hostel for a big meal with the group that night.
