Praia de Pipa is a small  coastal town full of surfer types1.5 hours south of Natal. It is known for its lovely beaches and dolphins and it didnīt disappoint! Our hostel had double booked so we were taken next door to a nicer pousada with a pool outside our front door :)

We had two really relaxing days by the beach watching surfers getting mullered - there were loads of them and the waves were really big! We also went on a boat trip, we patiently waited for about an hour (!) for some other people to join the little boat we wanted to go on rather then the big touristy one which turned out to be worth it. It was only about 7 quid for an hour trip and we saw some dolphins doing their thing right in at the beach. (The bigger boats canīt go in  that close) Donīt think ecotourism has quite reached this part of Brazil yet and not sure any of the money made from these tours goes towards protecting the dolphins at all unfortunately. But itīs a bargain isnīt it! ;)

Managed to force a few caipirinhas down feeling fully recovered now after our last binge in Sao Paulo - only a pound each Captain! (see photo)
