The Lake District contains a series of National Parks, we spent the day in one of them Los Alceres famous for its beautiful lakes and glacier! However, there is only one very old bus that takes you there once a day! So if you´re not at the bus station at 8am to get one of about 20 tickets you´ve had it! We made it and after two and half hours were dropped off at Lago Verde - so named due to its colour! We walked for 6 hours around the lake, Lago Menedez, the Rio Menendez and Rio Rivadavia and saw the Torrecilla glacier from across one of the lakes. (Photo 333) It is a incredible area, so unspoilt and peaceful, we really loved it. Had to be ready for our only bus back though or we would have been up there all night!
