We had not intended on visiting Phuket again but as it was the only flight available after Bankok off we went. We stayed in Phuket town which was nice and alot less touristy than the rest of the island. Spent the day on Karon beach which was a beautiful beach full of package tourists drinking beer at 9am.
That evening we went up to Patong to visit where we stayed 8 years ago. The Tsunami hit here in 2004 but we could see little difference except for more tourists. We had a couple of beers on Bangla road and watched the girls and lady boys working - nothing had changed on Bangla road.
We got out of Phuket the next day as one day was enough for us.
