After dragging ourselves away from Mui Ne we arrived in Nha Trang 5 hours later. Bus is by far the easiest and cheapest way to get up the coast of Vietnam. The air-conditioned coaches collect you from your hotel and drop you to the next one so its easy travelling.

Nha Trang is a real tourist town, full of over-priced bars and restaurants. It is also a good place for diving but because the weather was bad it wasn't a good time to try that out. We booked a boat trip instead around 4 islands for the day after we arrived. The boat trip was good fun - spent the day swimming, trying to snorkel (the current was pretty strong) and exploring the islands. Also had a drink at the floating bar (see picture) and bit of a dance on the table on the boat. The lads running the trip were great fun - the Vietnamese love to have a laugh.

Met 2 Limerick girls too - first Paddys we've met on the trip.

Also visited a Pagoda (not another Pagoda!) which also had a large white stone seated Buddha (not another Buddha!). Ah well it passed the morning while we waited for our bus to Hoi An. After being in Mui Ne - Nha Trang was not really very appealing.
