On Friday we went to a port town called Aberdeen, and we came back. Not much to see there apart from a women with an orthopedic shoe and the first Chinese dwarf that I have ever seen. Saturday was a more successful day. We went to Ngong Ping 360, which is a cable car ride to the top of a mountain, where the worlds biggest bronze Buddha statue sits, aswell as the Po Lin Monastery and a Starbucks. The cable car ride itself is quite daunting, it lasts 25minutes and takes you up into the clouds. Po Lin Monastery is very nice, with loads of gold statues and flowers, and music that sounds suspiciously like a copy of Cliff 'the lords prayer'.
Sunday was Chinese new year, so we headed to the news years parade, with 100,000 other people
Today we have been to see the New years firework display which takes place over the harbour. That was really impressive, by far the best fireworks we have ever seen. Again we were there a good few hours before to make sure we had a front row spec.
We will hopefully get some of our pictures on here soon, and some videos. There is a particulary good picture of Laura impersonating Bruce Lee that I will try and upload.
We will be in touch soon,
