1st stop Gladstone..... We decided not to stop.
We continued up the Bruce Highway, stopping at the driver reviver stops. The Queensland government have in place these stops where you can get free tea or coffee and biscuits
Then we moved on to Rockhampton, which lies on the Tropic of Capricorn. We got the usual photos done at the line where it crosses.
The next day we went to Yapoon Beach and Emu Park and generally arsed about on the beach.... yes, again !!
The following day we heading up to Mackay, stopping off at Carmilla beach.

Boy, that takes me back
I lived in Gladstone for a few years as a child and have fond memories of trips to Rocky and Yeppoon. I have visited a lot of the places previusly mentioned also. I suppose, since it is winter there, that it is low season. no wonder you are getting a free ride in the caravan sites and the pick of the beaches! Hope you had a great birthday.
