We finally arrived in San Francisco last night. It was a very long trip from Niagara Falls as our buffalo - JFK flight was changed to an earlier time but we still had the same flight from JFK to San Fran so we had a long wait at JFK. Not to worry, we made it eventually.

When we arrived, we found out we had been upgraded to an executive suite! Very impressive! There was also rose petals on the bed and a bottle of champagne for us to drink...pity we were to tired to drink it. (Carolyn had sent the manager an email to let them know it was our anniversary). The suite is fantastic! Pics are included...

We are staying at the Serrano hotel which is a boutique hotel right in the city and is very nice indeed - it is a restored Spanish revival building. I will sent photos of the lobby when I take some tomorrow. It is quite different.

After sleeping in this morning, we went for a look around and took our first cable car ride. Very exciting! We had lunch down at the water, had a wander down there and then stopped at the Crooked Street on the way back.

Looking forward to Alcatraz tomorrow night.

Love Carolyn and Paul
