It´s Nic´s birthday today and she gets treated to a cake from McDonalds, what a start. I might add that i travel 6 floors and walk in the rain to fetch this treat if it makes it sound more romantic. We leave the room early afternoon with the weather not improving much and walk around Auckland for a bit before we watch The Bucket List which is good. We meet Russ and Marc afterwards whose birthday it also is and go to the Globe Bar where we get asked for I.D and for once Nic is eager to get her passport out as it´s her birthday. The next bar we go to again we´re asked for I.D and also how many drinks we´ve had to which i reply ´a couple´ where the doorman responds ´how many´s a couple?´ ´two probably´ i tell him which costs us about 5 minutes wait as he gives us punishment for not being funny and attempting to be a smart arse. We go to the marina and another bar before talk goes to the strip club that Marc wants to go to. We´re all a little merry at this point so we all go which in hindsight isn´t the smartest move as they do nothing for me and probably even less for Nic. Marc has a good time there so to speak but we all leave shortly after with them two carrying on and us two feeling our age and retiring for the night.
