I am currently at home preparing for my 10 month trip to northern Vietnam, trying to learn the language, moving out of yet another appartment, and getting all my things in order.

There is a suprising amount to do in preparation for moving abroad for such an extended amount of time, and I am quite glad that my initial departure date was delayed. It has given me time to prepare myself properly, or as well as I can without knowing exactly what to expect.

I have decided to keep this travelogue, where I plan to post photos and news of what I am doing. This will mean that I can keep everyone up to date, and may also prevent me from telling the same story to the same person over and over again (something I often do in the pub :))
