11:00am DFW Airport
We went through check-in without a hitch and had a leisurely lunch at the airport Whataburger (about $9 for both of us). There is also a UNOdueGo pizza place. After eating, we took some pictures of us with the backpacks, found nice comfortable chairs with handy, nearby outlets and got ready to communicate electronically. I pulled out my netbook (Acer Aspire One with Limpus Linux- love it) and attempted to connect wirelessly to the net and... could not access Travelpod! At the DFW Airport, to access the net wirelessly one must have a account with ATT mobile! We walked around and finally found a free internet stand. At the stand there are two free internet stations, one was occupied and the other was immediately occupied by my wife while I attempted to connect the netbook to the stand. It is possible to connect a laptop to the stand but only if one has a CAT-5 Ethernet cable --which I didn't have.
