Sandra y Maleni decidieron quedarse tranquilitas en la ciudad, sobre todo porque Maleni no estaba fisicamente para esos trotes.
Y salimos hacia el desierto de Thar de la manera mas divertida: en un jeep de boda, adornado con guirnaldas y con un conductor de lo mas divertido. Nos llevo a ver los cenotafios y nos presento a los que serian nuestros guias sobre el camello. A partir de ahi, a marchar sobre un bicho enorme con capacidad para 15 litros de agua y que no dejaba de mascar y relinchar (el de Lorraine no dejaba de hacer otras cosas y para mi desgracia lo tenia delante!). Pero fue muy divertido. Nuestro camello favorito era Mister India, el jefe. Paseamos por pueblos que llenaban de color el desierto, vimos cono nos cocinaban en medio de la nada (hasta los chapatis), disfrutamos de un atardecer espectacular y luego tuvimos fuego de campamento y cantamos, y hasta tuvimos clase de español sobre camello.
Dormir entre dunas fue fantastico... no hacia mucho frio y vimos unas cuantas estrellas fugaces. Por la mañana te despiertas algo desorientada pero ver el amanecer en medio del desierto te devuelve a ese maravilloso paisaje.
Volvimos felices de la vida a la ciudad... y nos dimos un buen homenaje en la cena.

The main attraction in Jaisalmer is the camel safari. People told us that the experience is great but that our ass was going to hurt a lot. But Lorraine and I just went for it! People was right: it was one of the highlights here in India amd yes, ass-ache... Sandra and Maleni decided to stay in town and enjoy a lovely hotel.
So we went to Thar desert in the funniest way: in a wedding jeep!!! with all the colors and flowers and a very funny man driving us to the cenotaphes and introducing us to the camel guides. Then, just ride a huge animal with 15 liters of water in it stomach and that couldn't stop chewing and burping (Lorraine's did more desgusting things and it was just in front of mine!), funny! Our favourite camel was Mr. India, the boss! We could visit the colourful villages in the middle of the desert, see the men cooking for us (even the chapatis) in the middle of nowhere, enjoy an amazing sunset and sing around the fire. We had even an Spanish lesson on the camel.
Sleeping on dunes was fantastic! it was not very chilly and we saw quite a few shooting stars. The following morning we woke up desoriented but in a minute one can realize that is in the midle of the desert, wonderful sunrise and landscape... we were so happy there!
