Lorraine y yo tambien intentamos hacer algunas gestiones para conseguir un billete de tren a Mumbai. Fue, sin duda, la experiencia mas desesperante con los indios pero ahora solo puedo reirme de la situacion. Los trenes estaban llenos y pedimos todo tipo de excepciones como la couta de turista o la de emergencia. Nada fue posible y acabamos en el despacho de lo que se supone era la oficina de turismo, con un grupo de personas que intentaron ayudarnos (a la manera mas india, que supone una pachorra como para cortarse las venas) y alli perdi absolutamente los nervios. Los funcionarios intentaron tranquilizarme y no dejaban de mirarme con cara de pez, como si estuviese loca de atar. Lorraine intentaba contener la risa ante esa situacion tan kafkiana. Finalmente, sin poder darnos una solucion, nos calmaron con un cafecito y volvimos, despues de dos horas, al hotel con las manos vacias. Decidimos reservar un vuelo.
En fin, esto es la India...

Again with Sandra, and now also with Maleni. Our stay in Jodhpur was short but we could see the highlight which is the amazing fort and get lost in the corridors and rooms and imagine how life was where the maharahas lived there.
Lorraine and I wanted also to solve some things like our train ticket to Mumbai. That was the most desperating
experience in India so far but now when I think about it I can only laugh. All the trains were full and we asked for all kind of exceptions like the tourist quota or the emergency one. Nothing was possible and we ended in the tourism bureau with a group of people that made everything they could to help us (Indian style, so exasperating!) and then I got completly mad. The people in the office tried to calm me down and they were staring at me as if I was crazy. Lorraine was laughing at the situation... at the end, and without a solution, they invited us to a coffee and we went back after two hours to our hotel with our hands empty. Then we decided to book a flight.
This is India...
