Quiza no era exactamente lo que esperaba, pero aun asi fue una experiencia muy distinta y tranquila. El problema del bajo presupuesto es que no se puede esperar el gran lujo y claro, no nos adentramos demasiado en el parque (parece que esta solo reservado a la gente que paga la pasta gansa y se aloja alli). En cualquier caso conoci a gente muy interesante con la que disfrute de actividades como un paseo por la selva (hace gracia como te dan todo tipo de instrucciones de seguridad sobre animales salvajes cuando no ves nada de nada), bajar el rio (plagado de cocodrilos) en canoa, el baño de elefantes (estuve tentada a meterme en el agua con ellos hasta que vi a una simpatica serpiente nadar) o la actividad estrella, paseo a lomos de un elefante. Vimos rinocerontes, y mas bichos y lo pasamos bomba. Lo mejor fue la vuelta al hotel. Como iba sola, me toco con tres personas de otro tour asi que les dejamos (con el elefante) en su hotel y continue yo sola (con el señor del elefante, claro), hasta mi hotel, como una autentica reina! Atardeciendo, el señor cantando, los niños saludando desde abajo y las familias adornando la casa con velas para el festival que comenzaba.
Este tipo de experiencias te dan vida...
Despues de un par de dias, de vuelta a Kathmandu, en el bus mas de lujo que he tenido en Nepal (las ventanas se podian cerrar y las rodillas no tocaban el asiento de delante).

We split again... Sandra went back to Kathmandu and I went to a safari uin Chitwan NP.
It was not what I expected but it was anyway a different experience and very calm. When you travel in low budget you can't expect having the best so we didn't get into the real jungle which is basically reserved for luxury tours including a resort within the Park. But I met interesting and nice people with whom I had a great time.
We had walks in the jungle (after a long talk about safety with wild animals you realize that you are not going to see any of them), canoing down the river (full of crocs), elephat bathing (I was temted to go with them into the water until I saw a snake swimming in the river) and the star, the elephant riding! We saw rhinos, peackocks and other animals but the best part was the ride home. As I was alone I had to share the elephant with 3 people from other tour, so we left them in their hotel and I went alone (with the rider, of course) on the animal, crossing the village. It was sunset, the rider singing, the children waving 'Namaste' from down, the families putting candles in the entrances of the house because of the festival arriving the following day...
This kind of experience makes you feel alive...
After a couple of days there I went back to Kathmandu... in the best bus I have ever taken in Nepal (I could close the windows and my knees didn't touch the seat in front of me).
