Ademas, iba a ser el cumple de Miguel y tenia derecho a elegir el sitio donde lo queria celebrar. Y alli nos fuimos, a una ciudad cuyo nombre es "Edimburgo" en gaelico. Con eso lo digo todo... Asi que dimos una vuelta, preparamos la excursion a la Peninsula de Otago del dia siguiente y nos pusimos guapos para ir a cenar al centro.
El caso es que, a la vuelta, aqui, la servidora, intentando aparcar en el camping, dio un golpecito a la caravana de atras y la rompio un faro. Me imagino a la apacible familia neozelandesa, durmiendo ya a las 23h., pensando en que habia un terremoto! y, como son tan civilizados, al dia siguiente un simpatico policia me desperto para dar el parte alli, en medio del camping, en pijama, y sin haberme quitado las leganas

! pero no es alarmante. Por lo visto, es el procedimiento normal. Y es que, en un pais tan civilizado y sin delincuencia, que iban a hacer si no los pobres policias?Despues de estos tramites, nos fuimos al centro para irnos a la excursion para ver todo tipo de animalitos en su habitat natural. Albatros: solo vimos a los polluelos esperando su comida (pueden hacerlo hasta dos dias), foquitas divirtiendose en las rocas, leones marinos en la playa (por lo visto pueden correr hasta a 20Km/h, por lo que habia que estar al loro, no tuviesemos disgustos) y los famosos pinguinos de ojos amarillos, que volvian de su dia en el mar, camino a la casa, en los monticulos que rodeaban la playa. Por lo visto son bastante timidos y asociales, asi que tuvimos suerte de verlos, un poco de lejos (algunos algo mas cerca) sin que saliesen huyendo. Que majos!
Una vez vistos los bichos, cogimos de nuevo la carretera (esta vez con nueva musica, ya que le regale a mi padre un recopilatorio de Billy Joel).

. a city!Also, it was Miguel's birthday and he had the right to decide where to celebrate it. So there we went, to a city called "Edimbourgh" in gaelic. So we walked around, prepared the excursion to Otago Peninsula for the following day and dressed cool to have dinner in the centre. The thing is that when we went back to the camping (I was the driver) we crashed (not very strong) against the neighbour parked behind us and we broke him a light. I can easily imagine that poor quiet kiwi family sleeping at 23h., and feeling suddenly an eathrquake! so, as the locals are so civilised, the following day a nice policeman woke me up to fill the papers. So I went out in the middle of the camping, in a pijama and without having washed my face yet!. Well, that is the normal procedure in this country. As they are so civilised and they don't have any delinquence, they have to give some work to do to the poor policemen!
After all this we went to an excursion to see a lot of animals in Otago Peninsula. Albatross (only the chicks waiting for food), fur seals having fun on the rocks, sea lions having a siesta on the beach and the famous yellow eyed pinguings, going back home after a day fishing in the sea. We were lucky to see them cause they're are quite shy and unsocial... so funny!
Once we saw the animals, we took the campervan and went again to the road (with new music because I bought to my father a Billy Joel's compilation).
