Tortugas, flamencos sospechosos y caballitos

La organización fue un poco caótica pero eso no influyó en nuestras ganas de ver sitios nuevos y más animalitos. En primer lugar nos llevaron a un criadero de tortugas donde Daniela dejó caer un caramelito de menta (igual hoy hay una tortuga menos) y a una laguna donde veríamos flamencos, y digo veríamos porque sólo había uno clavado como si fuese un palo de adorno de un cóctel (al día siguiente sí pudimos ver algunos más).
La mañana siguiente hicimos la excursión más divertida: subir a caballo al cráter del volcán Sierra Negra, el segundo más grande del mundo, con un diámetro de 10 km).
El único flamenco...
Más que caballos eran burritos que iban a la vez, con o cual cada vez que trotaba uno, el resto se volvían locos. Fue muy divertido aunque cansado, ¡tuvimos dolor de culo durante un par de días! Por la tarde, visita a la Tintorera, donde vimos lobos marinos, pingüinos, tiburones y todo tipo de aves. Allí pudimos darnos un bañito y hacer snorkeling (Sandra no, por supuesto).Después de estas aventuras, decidimos quedarnos un día más para descansar y poder ir a la playa. De nuevo, una playa paradisíaca y tranquila, donde nos bañamos y paseamos con iguanas. Y, cuando más pegaba el sol, cervecita en el chiringuito. ¡Esto sí que es vida!
Por la tarde visitamos Concha y Perla, una mini bahía con manglares para bucear y ver más vida animal, donde Patrik no dudó en sumergirse y hacer de las suyas con su cámara acuática.
A la vuelta, con un madrugón de escándalo, nos clavaron 5$ en impuestos para el muelle (aquí parece que las infraestructuras las pagan los turistas y no los impuestos locales). En fin, se puede decir que la isla es nuestra...

All the locals told me that Isabela is the most fascinating island in the archipiélago, so we decided to buy a two days tours to explore the place.
The tour organisation was a chaos, but we were so happy to be there that it didn't disturb us so much
Hacia los caballos
. First we visited a turtle reserve where Daniela drop accidentally a Menthos (perhaps there's a turtle less today) and a flamingo lake, but we could see only one, as if it was part of the decoration (fortunately we could see more the following day).Next morning we did the funniest excursion, riding horses up the crater of the Sierra Negra Volcano, the second larger in the world (10 Km. Diameter). The horses looked like donkeys and they were a little bit lazy, but funny as they were always following the rithm of the others. We had bottom pain for two days after that! In the afternoon we went to la Tintorera and we could see sharks, sea lions, penguins and other birds, and also we could swim there for a while.
After these adventures we stayed a day more in the island to rest on a beautiful white sand beach, very quiet and with iguanas walking besides you. In the afternoon, Concha y Perla, a little bay full of manglars and more animals, where Patrik did snorkelling and played with his aquatic camera.
