The day started as a shocker as sleep the night before was at a minimum. It was quite impressive that the whole hotel room fitted into a box and that the air conditioning was actually a built in sauna. Once we escaped we headed for the train station to start our walking tour.

From there the day looked up as we met our insane walking guide - though he was brilliant, passionate and knowledgeable. He walked us through the city of Berlin educating us on the sites and history of the large capital. From the great Berlin Wall (which was actually quite small) to the Jewish Memorial for the WWII tradgedy the tour was awesome. All in all we saw the first Jewish Temple, Check-Point Charlie, The Riechstag, Hitler's Bunker and much more.

After 5 hours of our 3.5 hour walking tour we decided to bail and go shopping! Guess who's idea that was. Anyway, KaDeWee is the place to be when shopping in Berlin. Instead of taking the metro we decided to walk it, these distances look very small on the maps. About an hour of being in the pouring rain got us into the general vicinity but we wouldn't have made it there except for a very kind German lady who directed us.

so much info
You must have learnt heeps about Germany from the tours etc.

We have been having our own fun in Brisvagas. Helen will update you on Movie World. I would like to say that I only got sick for 2 hours after the death defying Scooby Doo ride. Funny there were only little kids on the ride with me.

Keep us informed. Weimar(?) looked beautiful.

peace

Movieworld
Hey Pat & Grace,
Last Thursday Mum, Dad, Tahnee, Isabelle and I all went to Movieworld for the day. When we arrived the first things we saw was The Batwing and Superman Escape! We Continued down the main street past gift shops and went to the Scooby Doo Rollercoaster. Mum stayed outside while we went on the ride. It was an awesome ride. I forgot about quite a lot of it since the last time i went on it was a few years ago. In one part you are in the dark and you go around the corners quite fast. Dad was just laughing while Tahnee, Isabelle and I were screaming our lungs out! After we had finished that ride we went to Shrek 4-D which was really goood. Isabelle, Tahnee and I sat in the motion seats and mum and dad sat in the motionless seats. Not only was the movie good because it was 3-D but because the seats moved and we got sprayed with water :P Then we went to the Willy Wonka Shop where we saw Willy Wonka walk down the street straight past his shop. When we came out of the Willy Wonka shop what did we see!?!?! BatMann and his tumbler. After that we found a bakery and got rolls and found a table to eat at and had our lunch. Then we travelled to the Wild West section of Movieworld where we dad took our photo in front of a wild West backdrop having a shoot out. Then we moved on to the Wild West Falls which is a water ride. The ride starts off where u hop into a boat and then travel along a stream and then you get to the massive steep slide where you travel down quite fastly and then splash into the water and all the water sprays up and over all of the people in the boat. Then we moved on to the Bumper Cars. That was really fun aswell. Dad filmed the bumper cars and lots of rides that we went on so you will have to see the movies =] Then we moved on to the RoadRunner rollercoaster which was not very high but had so many turns which was fun and it was also quite short. Then we sat down at a table and mum and dad got an ice cream each and Isabelle, Tahnee and I ate some of the lollies that we had bought earlier from Willy Wonka. Then we moved on to the SUPERMAN ESCAPE!! Isabelle and Tahnee were quite scared and nervous waiting in the line for Superman Escape however i was more excited then anything!! When we hopped on the ride and travelled through a tunnel at quite a low speed. While we were travelling slowly there was a person on loud speaker saying that we should not go to Metropolis Square because there had been an earthquake. I remember looking to my left and seeing a real american police car coming out of a hole from the ceiling. We then come to a stop and then we could hear supermans Voice and he said I will save you but there's only one way how and thats Fast. We shot out of the tunnel at 100km/h and went up this steep hill and on the other side it was nearly a pretty much vertical drop. When we were at the top about to go down this large vertical drop it felt like i was going to fall out the front of the rollercoaster. It was the MOST AWESOME RIDE EVERRRR!!!!! I LOVED EVERY Bit of it!! You will have to see the videos dad took of the Superman Escape so you can see for yourself how fast it goes and see the massive drop. Next we went on the Batwing. The Batwing is a massive 60 Meter tower that u shoot up in. It is a tower with 4 sides which has 4 seats per side. At the start of the ride there is a countdown and then u go up about a meter and then it blows smoke out of the bottom of the tower and then you shoot up. Which is a 4.5G vertical launch up the tower!! Then we went on the Batman 2 ride where it starts of in Bruce Waynes library and then you move into Batmans Cave and then were rushed into Batgirls space craft which made me sick because i cant move around in seats and also watch a screen. The last thing we did was went to the gift shop where i bought a Tweedy Bird and then we left. It was an awesome Day!!
Love
Helen
