My first travel blog entry for my trip to New Zealand/Australia. It's Thursday - boy, am I ever glad to be going - the weather has been so cold (-35C with -50 wind chill)! It's finally warming up today (-15C)but not enough to make me want to stay.
Of course, we couldn't leave for vacation without having some excitement. We found a mouse in the house last night. or I should say Andy did after it ran over his foot in the kitchen. After our dismal attempts to catch/kill it - those buggers are fast - we put out 15 traps all over the house in the hopes of not returning to our house being host to a family of mice. Thanfully, one of the traps worked so with any luck, that is the only one.
The luggage is packed and ready to go - amazing how much clothes can weigh. I'm at Qantas airlines luggage limit of 20g but we fly United back and their limit is 30kg so I should be able to bring some things back.

A Mouse in the House
Good to hear you got the nasty little critter. If he has any friends, I hope they don't learn from his mistake. Happy Sailing!! Maureen
