Dans les champs de théiers

Nous avons le sentiment d'avoir assez vu de foret vierge. Un transfert sans encombre nous mene jusqu'aux Cameron Highlands ou nous trouvons la guesthouse (nommee father'sguesthouse) dangereusement parfaite. Biere, ambiance bon enfant, home cinema et bon cafe, c'est un coup a y rester trop longtemps.

Ce ne sera pas le cas. La seule chose qui soit veritablement a voir ici, ce sont les champs de theiers. Cela fait comme un damier deroule sur des collines toutes en courbes douces. C'est joli. Nous visiterons la plus ancienne plantation du coin, celle de l'entreprise Boh, qui fournit parait-il 60% de la consommation Malaisienne. Nous verrons aussi une usine de transformation de the.Un petit tour guide dans la foret nous permettra entre autres, de voir des plantes insectivores dans leur milieu naturel.

Prochaine destination: Bangkok en Thailande

Il est maintenant temps de filer sur Bangkok, ou les Parents de Saoyuth nous rejoignent pour environ un mois. A Ipoh, en attendant le bus pour Hat Yai, nous nous mettons en quete d'un cyber cafe. Les gens a qui nous demandons nous recommandent de prendre un taxi pour aller dans un centre commercial, assez loin selon eux. Nous decidons de nous avancer a pied, ayant du temps devant nous. 5 bonnes minutes plus tard nous sommes arrives: c'est toujours surprenant de voir combien certains citadins ont perdu l'habitude de marcher, et considerent tout ce qui est a plus de 500m comme au-dela de l'effort raisonable.

Le bus de nuit pour la Thailande est confortable et la frontiere est passee a 6h du matin sans encombre: bye bye la Malaisie, bonjour la Thailande.
