We spent our first afternoon exploring Dusseldorf. We ate schnitzel sandwiches and Pat drank an Alt beer which is only brewed in the city. We went to bed pretty early and got a good nights sleep. It was much better than the sleep we got on the plane. We plan on spending the morning exploring a bit more before boarding the train to Hanover!

Altbier, I bet that was refreshing! I'll be looking for you guys on tv for the Germany soccer game, maybe I can see you in the crowd in Berlin.

So cool you guys are doing this!

Germany just scored against Greece. 1 - nil! I can just imagine the huge, cheering crowd Yinz are in right now, in Berlin! Love, Papa

Papa on

Whoa, Greece just tied it. . .!

Wow, now Germany has the lead again at 2-1!

Is the Czech Republic gone? Does Prague no longer exist?

Are camera pix jetzt verboten there?

Yinz are so cool!

PS Bamberg is a very ancient town. It's named for Bam-Bam Rubble (Barney & Betty's boy, who was born there ;-)

Hi, Amanda,

Kudos for all the great pix & descriptions!
Suggestion: make Pat take more pix, so we can see more with YOU in 'em. (Just in case the gypsies kidnap you.)

Love, Papa-Joe
