Crazy Cairo

We landed in Cairo at 2.35am. We were picked up by Oasis, our overland travel company and taken about 1/2 an hour to the Bostan Hotel. Pretty shitty but no worse than we were expecting. After a day and a half with no sleep we crashed. Spent one night in Cairo and took a river cruise along The Nile. Also spent some time at the Egyptian Museum where we saw the Royal Mummies, Tutankhamen's treasure and just wandered about the Islamic and Coptic areas of Cairo. The Bostan Hotel had a really cool roof-top terrace with great views over the city towards the Citadel. Each and every morning we were woken up by the blasting prayer call (muezzin), fun for a while.......it starts at about 4am!
