Woke up this morning at 5am, and I am pretty sure that most of the students stayed up as long as they could the night before. We began the tearful drive to the Sydney International Airport at 6:30am and were dropped off by 7:15am.

Everyone had a chance to thank Brett as he unloaded our luggage for the last time. Then Beccah escorted us into the terminal so that we could check in. Our flight was on time, and we had plenty of time to get through security and do any last minute shopping once we were close to our gate.

Unlike the beginning of our adventure, there were no delays this time, and we were in the air on time and as scheduled. It was a pretty turbulent flight - we kept hitting air pockets, so I had a hard time sleeping. I think I may have only slept for about 3 hours total, and I probably spent most of the time TRYING to get some sleep. :( Food was pretty good, and the flight attendants were nice enough which made the flight more enjoyable, despite the bumps and lack of sleep.

We finally were home and touched down at 6:45am. The tears started flowing again as they all were reminded that we were not far from parting ways. We made our way to Immigration, and the line wasn't too long, but it went very slowly. Baggage Claim was next and luckily, no luggage was delayed, so once we all had our luggage, one of the Customs Officers told us to follow him, and he directed us to the Express line. We were soon free and made our way up the ramp to the cheers of the parents and family members who were waiting patiently for us.

Once everyone was reunited with their parents, they discovered the Wisconsin group off to the side waiting for their escort to Terminal 4 so they could catch their connecting flight home. Michelle and her dad were kind enough to give me a lift home since we live so close to each other, so we waved at them from afar and headed to the car.

It's been a fun-filled adventure, and I am sure these young people will go on to do great things because of their experiences in the Land of OZ. LA crew, stay tuned for news of our Reunion which will most likely take place some time in October!
