So we left Cairns bright and early because we had a bit of a drive to our next destination. On our way to our farm stay, we stopped a a little town called Tully which has the honor of being the wettest city in Australia.

Apparently in Australia, cities like to have big things... While in Tully, we saw the biggest "gum boot" (what we know as wellingtons or rubber boots). We posed in front of it for a group picture, but of course when we did, you could no longer tell it was a boot. Oh well.

To keep us entertained along the road trip, Rebeccah showed Finding Nemo on the coach. Always a hit!

When we were close to the farm, Brett crossed a few small bridges. Right after he crossed one of them and right before he was about to cross another, he stopped the coach and informed the students that they had recent flooding in the area and the second of the two bridges was very unstable. He said that in order to get everyone across safely, he would need the girls to get off the coach and walk across.

Once we got to the farm, they were introduced to the farm stay hosts who then shown the students to their rooms which were converted train cars. There were four students per room - the rooms were affectionately were called "tin tins", no locks on the doors, canvas drape covers for doors.

The ambassadors were given the time to relax, unwind, bond, and play basketball, tennis, ping pong, or air hockey. Some got caught up on their journal writing, while others sat around the bonfire and chatted.
