I manage to find a way down to Bangkok and arrive around 8.00pm at the hotel.  As i am checking in i notice a sign: To all Imaginative Travellers, we will be meeting today at 6.30pm in the hotel lobby for a meeting before heading out to a local restaurant for dinner!!  Whoops i seem to have arrived too late, (even though the itenary i have show the meeting as due tomorrow!) so i go drop my bags and decide to walk around the local area to see if i can see the group.  I don't see the group, but do manage to find a cheap internet cafe, so log on for an hour.
I get back to the hotel just after 9 and as i am getting my key from reception i meet Vaughn our tour leader.  He quickly catches me up on the basics of the meeting - i need to give him the local payment and be ready for 8am tomorrow morning - Easy!
I get ready for bed, it is time to catch up on the sleep i missed last night and just as i am about to crawl under the covers, Bonnie arrives.  Bonnie is my room mate for the tour.  Bonnie is 30's, Canadian and travelling around the world for a year.  She has already been to South America and Australia on other tours, so is an old hand at room sharing.
We don't chat much that evening as we have to be up early and i am knackered so before long i am sound asleep.

I make it down in time for the free breakfast and then we all pile into a mini-bus ready to see the floating market and Bridge over River Kwai.
I now get to meet the others on our trip:
Deborah, 21 from London.
Kobi, 25 from Belgium.  I actually thought she was Australian to start with, her english is so amazing you would never believe it was a 2nd language!
Sara, 26 from Aberdeen and Margret, 30's from Aberdeen.  They are doing this tour before heading on to Perth and then travelling Australia (yeah more people i know in Perth!!).
