After a gruelling 12 hour train ride from Belgrade, which was over a
distance of a mere 600 or so kilometres, we arrived in Bar, a coastal
city in Montenegro...

We arrived at 1 am, which was rough!  The lady at our hostel in
Belgrade said that it would take 20 hours by train so we left way
earlier than necessary! Arriving in the middle of the night makes finding lodgings rather challenging...lucky for us, the taxi driver had a friend who owned a pension and so we spent the night (and the subsequent one as well) in Bar...
To tell you the truth, there's not a great deal of things to do...it's more of a transport/ferry hub than an actual tourist destination...
We simply took the time to relax and gear up to get to Kotor
