I'm about to venture off into the great unknown...
I've prepared as much as I can...I've gotten the shots, the paperwork and I've taken as many precautions as I could possibly muster...
Now for the practical experience...
Earlier on I was incredibly nervous about my trip, due to the voices of concern and
warnings for my trip from all sorts of 'helpful' people...I realize that they mean well, but alas, it only added to my angst...
At this point however, I'm not really concerned at all...que sera sera! Whatever happens I have to take it in stride and use it as a growing experience...I'm not expecting things to go perfectly, but hopefully I'll come back in one piece [don't worry mother dearest, I shan't do anything unintelligent...]
It's amazing the amount of preparation that one puts into trips nowadays. Most people feel it's glamorous, exotic and that it really doesn't take much work to venture off...god, if they only knew! There are SO many things that one has to take into consideration before embarking on a trip! Health considerations, along with expensive
visa applications and transportation costs, all lead to a very occupied pre-emptive experience...but hey it will all be worth it! I look at my preparations as getting ready
for a very big test...a life test...if I can tough it out in tough foreign
countries, I can truly make it anywhere! Hopefully I shall come back a mature young adult [well...we shouldn't hope for too much now... :p]
For those of you who will be following my blog, you'll be travelling along with me
through Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East...Specifically where? Well I'm not quite certain yet...I'll make it up as I go along...I shall try my best to make this as informative and thought provoking as possible...I imagine that I will have a lot of delightful fodder to write about [...if not I'll just make stuff up :p] I will also do my best to continuously add pictures, but this will obviously depend on the quality of the internet as I travel...
I hope you enjoy it and thanks for following along!
P.S. I use [...] a lot in my writings...I don't use it because I have run out of things to say, but because it follows the same rhythm of my speech...constant stream of sentences without really
pausing in between to breathe...
P.P.S. For those of you who aren't familiar with internet speak... [:p] means I'm joking...I never did like to say lol...
