We started the day off with an EARLY wake-up at 5:15, in order to be ready to leave at 6 am for our game drive through Chobe Park.  We were all curled up, some still half asleep and not terribly interested in our surroundings until we got to the park, went in and were greeted by a family of 20 or so elephants crossing the road in front of us!

The sightings only got better from there:  a few hyenas (live ones this time) crossing our paths, warthogs, (my beloved) hippos, a crocodile, a lion, a leopard (that had just gotten beaten up by a lion), guinea fowl, impala (doing crazy gymnastics for us), an immense family of baboons, a HUGE herd of water buffalo and a multitude of birds: marabou storks (they're never going to win any beauty contests), fish eagles and a very colourful bird (purple, green, pink) whose name escapes me.  Amazing day of viewing!  It was as if we were watching a National Geographic Special, as all the action was happening right in front of us.  The animals were not bothered by our presence and
that made it more special, that we could witness their actual behaviour (well to a degree anyways).

After our intense morning, we had breakfast and then headed into Kasane for a bit of shopping and some internet.  The internet ended up consuming most of our time, as it was achingly slow and we subsequently gave up!  I suppose that I can't really complain; I'm lucky and spoiled to even have such global internet access.

To cap off an epic day of wildlife viewing, we set off on a sunset boat cruise.  We saw more crocs, elephants and hippos, but the lighting of the sun set, made it even prettier.  Once again, we got quite close to the hippos, but since this time the boat was larger than them, I felt considerably safer :p!

Sam cooked a very spicy dinner for us and we all relaxed after a busily fulfilling day.
