Prior to leaving the Cheetah Park, we had a half-hour meet and greet with the family's two tame cheetahs and a cub.  Even if it is a tame cheetah, it is still quite a daunting animal to pet!  Needless to say, I attempted to maintain a safe distance!

Pit stop in Outjo!

We arrived in Etosha National Park promptly at lunch time.  We drove slowly through the park to the first rest stop, but on the way we were distracted by the diversity of wildlife.  We saw zebras, giraffes, warthogs and a variety of antelope species!  It was our first veritable game drive and I could not get enough!

When we arrived at the first rest stop and campground, Okaukuejo and got set up for lunch!  We were given some free time to go to the water hole for some game viewing (it's right beside the camp!) and the first thing we saw was a big bull elephant, having a drink.  He was joined by impala, zebras and another elephant.  It was amazing to see!

We continued driving through the park, which culminated in a full afternoon game drive, to get to our campsite for the night: Halali Rest Camp.  We stayed at this site for 2 nights, but indulged in frequent game drives through the park.  We also spotted hyenas, elephants and rhinos while at the watering hole beside the Halali campsite!

Amazing park for game viewing!
