Field of Dreams on I-80
Entry 3 of 6 | show all | print this entry |
After getting lost in the south side of Chicago for about an hour, I found my way out of the city and followed Interstate 80 going west. Passing through northern Illinois and then Iowa where endless fields was just being cultivated after the spring melt. It was a Field of Dreams moment.
I arrived in Lincoln, Nebraska in late afternoon just before sunset. A small town compared to Chicago and the HI Cornerstone hostel is located in the basement of a church. What a religious experience this is, I thought.
The people are much more open here, and the girls from the nearby University of Nebraska are stunningly beautiful.
This was just a stopover for me as tomorrow I will going west again, into the foothills of the Rockies.
