Me and Juliette spend our first Christmas together, and it was my first Christmas outside Canada. Everything was closed in San Jose except for the Chinese Resturant next door to our hotel, so we had our lunch there. We had nothing to do the whole day, so we spend the day just hanging around the hotel and planing next leg of our trip.
In the evening, we cooked a nice pasta dinner and washed it down with some fine French wine we bought yesterday. It was the first time we had to cook dinner on this trip. The comidas and restaurants were not expensive throughout our trip, and few hotels/hostels are equipped with a kitchen anyway, so we didn't need to ever cook our own dinner. But to enjoy our first cooking together on Christmas Day, it was fun and fulfilling.
My present for Juliette was a small Winnie the Pooh bear, apparently she loves Winnie the Pooh, and she was too shy to admitted until yesterday. We let the rest of the night passed as we chatted with fellow travellers who were staying at the hotel. So Christmas in San Jose turn out to be a not so spectacular event, but a pleasant one.
