I woke up to see the sunrise. The bus was going smoothly toward the Yucatán as we drove along the shores of Gulf of Mexico. The water was beautiful green rippling along the endless horizon of beaches and palm trees. Even Juliette agreed with me this looked like paradise. Upon arriving in Merida, which was more dirty than Mexico, we checked in a small hotel. Great price and close to the central square. I tried to have some cocktail de camaron (shrimp) for lunch, but it was full of Tabasco hot sauce, so I was sweating from head to toe and didn't enjoy it very much. Juliette can't stop laughing. We walked around Merida and found the market. The Mexican markets have always fascinated me since La Paz, similar to Chinese markets, it's chaos, but beautiful chaos. We caught a movie at night and went to sleep trying to fight off the mosquitos.
