People have always said with sailing that your plans are only valid until you come up with the next plan. Well ...... we got half way across the Aegean and after hearing tales from other like-minded travellers we decided not to press on North to Halkidiki.(We were only 40 miles short) Instead we opted to go slightly West to the Northern Sporades. (Skiathos, Alonyssos, and Skopelos). The state of the sea on our various trips has been very mixed but we are now there. The boat and the crew have taken a pounding at times but equally there have been some very peaceful moments at anchor in various bays along the way. The only bit of major damage has been a couple of ripped fender socks which Bridget repaired swiftly.
Today, (Tuesday 17th) we encountered fairly large seas and a Force 7 wind, fortunately we were sailing downwind so it wasn't so bad ..
Wonder what tomorrow will bring !!!!

Peter always makes light of things.............I didn't repair the fender socks, I made two new ones, which took me a whole morning to do!!! AND we need to buy a new fender! All as a result of the boat being pounded against the wall by the swell on the remote island of Evstratios. You'll know how bad it was when I tell you that we ate lunch and supper ashore (but it was also our anniversary!!)

01 En route for Evstratios
. just a bit of a uncomfortable. As ever the day ended well and we have just moored in the town of Patitiri on Alonissos where after a quick dip and a good old cup of tea all is well with the world.Wonder what tomorrow will bring !!!!
