The collection was quite impressive with works from Bocciano, Picasso, Ernst, Tanguy, Brancusi, Kandinsky, Pollock, Magritte, Mondrian, Calder, Chagall, and many many more prominent modern artists. There were almost ten works from Umberto Bocciano, including one of his most famous- Continuity of Form in Space
We grabbed some yummy Italian pizza for lunch by the Grand Canal and watched the pigeons walk under our table. Then we walked around the Dorsodura sestier for a bit before heading back to Piazza San Marco for some pigeon feeding. We grabbed a huge pistachio cookie to try and to feed the pigeons with. I was very excited because I had heard that it was like a sea of pigeons in the square and it was a great sight to see. However, there was only like a hundred so I was a little disappointed. But once I started feeding them, it was a bit more fun. I didn't want any of them touching me so we just threw the crumbs on the ground and let them swarm around us. Barry even got hit by one excited pigeon! I also tried running through a big group of them but too many people were feeding them so the pigeons didn't really want to fly away, boo.
It started looking pretty stormy so we decided to go back to our hotel and chill a bit. On the way there, we found a wine store that filled up water bottles with wine for super cheap. We got 1.5 liters of white wine for just €3!! Insane! Now we're planning on drinking cheap wine, eating delicious Dutch cheese and bread, and relaxing in our hotel. Maybe we'll eat dinner sometime...
