Anyway, the hostel which we chose because it had a campsite was beautiful. It was pretty much in the middle of nowhere with a pool, bar, two kitchens, breakfast, two BBQs, loads of camping space and lots of sunshine. The weather was epic too, at least 32 degrees everyday.
Our new tent was the best purchase we ever made... it is enormous and we can even sit up inside it! So we were very comfortable here anyway. Well, we would have been had it not been for the Dragoman tours that had taken over the campsite for two of our three days, but thatīs a different story.
Rory decided to find the local lake to try his hand at a bit of fishing with our new rod on the first morning leaving Annie by the pool for the day. His fishing was fruitless and he came back with muddy shoes after wading into a mud bank in search of a good fishing spot. The one decent spot was already occupied.
Because we had such good cooking facilities we shopped at the local supermarket and cooked for ourselves every night which is not only a lot cheaper, but also a lot more satisfying and healthy. We are definitely becoming more thrifty and travel savvy - all the leftovers from each evening meal is put into a soup for lunch the next day.
Well apart from cooking and sunbathing we did little else, apart from enjoying the good weather and our final days in Brazil.
