The ride to Buswale was really nice, a little smoother than yesterday’s adventure of a ride. We drove through open plains with lots of trees, passing locals working in their rice fields, and mountains rising up in the distance.
We practiced workflow with the nurses at Buswale, having them walk through the prenatal visit from when the pregnant mother comes in with her “maternal passport” through the scanning and
saving/sending the images
Sarah A. and I went for a walk through the village. Around 100 kids emerged from their huts to watch us as we walked, lining up along the side of the road to stare. They started following us, giggling and running away when we would turn around and chase them.
We didn’t finish at Buswale until 5 pm, and then drove 1.5 hours to Budini to set up the last clinic. We were all exhausted but Sister Prossy and Irene, the nurses at Budini were so excited to see us when we arrived, and enthusiastic about getting everything set up, that soon everyone felt
