Die Reise and die Grenze und der Grenzuebertritt selbst war so (offensichtlich) gefahrlos wie einfach. Auch wenn man beim verlassen Indonesiens beim Militaer- Oberst vorsprechen muss (wohl strategisch) gabs keine Probleme. Das Highlight war wohl die sehr sympatische Einreise nach East Timor, wo Fred und ich dem Zoll- Inspektor wie einem unwissenden Lehrling Zeile fuer Zeile diktieren mussten, was er im Carnet de Passage auszufuellen und zu stempeln hatte - obwohl East Timor nicht als Carnet Land vermerkt ist.
Danach eroeffnete sich ein fast menschenleeres und bettelarmes, aber unglaublich freundliches Land mit fantastischen Landschaften und immer-laechelnden Einheimischen. An menschenleeren Straenden und vom Tourismus unberuehrt ging es nach Dili
A: Grenze (Border) INDONESIA - TIMOR LESTE
.In Dili wurde in der einzigen, aber ganz sympatischen billig- Unterkunft East Timor Backpackers (oder Smoke House Backpackers) an der Hauptzufahrtsstrasse (Almirante Rua de Thomas Americo 231) eingecheckt und dort waehrend Tagen die Motorraeder von Hand gereinigt, da nirgendwo Hochdruck- Reiniger vorhanden waren.
Der Verlad in Container und Transport der Bikes wurde von SDV Logistics (Rua Presidente Nicolau Lobato, Tel: +670 33 22 818) in die Wege geleitet und von Perkins am 9.8. ausgefuehrt, wenn hier nicht noch eine Krise ausbricht. Ich werde mit North Air bereits am 6.8. nach Darwin fliegen. Alles zusammen fuer knapp 500 USD.

The journey to the border and the crossing itself was (obviously) as safe as easy. Even if we had to go to the Military Officer (probably for strategic reasons) before leaving Indonesia there was no problems. The highlight was definitely the very nice entry to East Timor where Fred and me had to instruct the Customs-Inspector line to line like a unknowing student with filling and stamping the Carnet - although East Timor has not been listed for Carnet-Countries.
B: Grenze (Border) TIMOR LESTE- INDONESIA
Afterwards the country presented itself with untouched and very poor, but incredible friendly country with always smiling citizens. Along lonely beaches and untouched by any tourism it was going to Dili.In Dili we checked in to the only but very nice cheapy East Timor Backpackers (or Smoke House Backpackers) at the main road (Almirante Rua de Thomas Americo 231) and cleaned the bikes there for days by hand as there was no highpressure cleaner found around.
The load into container and transport was dealed by SDV Logistics (Rua Presidente Nicolau Lobato, Tel: +670 33 22 818) and will leave Dili at 9.8. - if there is no crisis before! Myself will fly by Air North at 6.8. to Darwin. All together for almost 500 USD.
