Not such a spectacular scenery but beatiful enaugh, the route along the second part of the southern coastal route was enjoyment for any biker. Unfotunatley enaugh, the fact that my rear shock was about to say goodbye by loosing the oil was reason why I was distracted for much of the time. How to get this bloody shock repaired or even replaced?
A real highlight was a meeting of a turkish biker who owned a BMW R100GS and invited me for dinner, beer and even to meet the entire family including the farm with dogs and cows! A night in such friendly hospitable company was a real rare experience along my worldtrip.
Continuing up north I was heading straight to the place to visit Efes or Ephesus. One of those beautiful, wonderful, magnificent and mindblowing must-see sights, everybody to set foot on Turkish territory must have seen. It took not more than 1.5 hours when I realised that I couldn't find what supposed to be so beautiful, wonderful, magnificent and mindblowing. Either I just have seen too many other ruined sites to be more approaching or I am just realistic by saying that I was simply disappointed about the helpless appearing heaps of stones beside the theatre and very few remaining facades.
But the nearby village of Selcuk was a good place to be anyway - just to find an excuse!
