Actually there was a plan, to visit the capital city of Jordan, Amman. But more actually there was the end of Ramadan celebrated countrywide in a spectacular 4-days-holiday-celebration! This was making everything out of controll, making businesses closed, people celebrating crazy and making the city of Amman to be a quiet ghost town of no interest in this time.
So Claudio and me made a quick stopover only, and continued on to Jerash, to visit the renowned historic roman ruins. While we recognized the change of environment from desert dust to an more attractive mediteranean olive-tree countryside in low hills reminding to me rather in greece than in Jordan, we also recognized the unlucky organization to sell the entry tickets at the sight of that historic place.
