The hunt for lost

Had a wonderful breakfast, included in my hotel rate, and headed downtown to buy crutches and change money to Kuna.  Thought Croatia was using Euro because that what everyone was paid in for the trip, but you cannot buy things in Euros but only in Kuna which I probably should have bought in Canada to avoid double exchange.  Lost my Sunglasses which were in the front basket as I headed across the street from the hotel.  I had them stuck in the edge of my fanny pack and was planning to put them on right away but hit a bump and then saw the bank and when I left the bank I noticed they were gone.  So then I was looking for crutches and glasses.  I had a great ride throughout the downtown on a beautiful sunny day and reached the square which is surrounded by beautiful old buildings.  Went for blocks, from one pharmacy to the other, asking for crutches and glasses until I finally found glasses in the only department store on the main street that I could see and the crutches in a place called Hospitality Center.  Many little shops, line the street and one or two large side street outdoor restaurants but I did not stop to test the wares.   Not as expensive as Canada which was good.  Back to the hotel for a rest as I still am not over the walking I did yesterday, then off to the pool for a swim and down to dinner in the Piano Bar - very nice and not expensive.  Off to bed as soon as I finish this.  Not good that I hear thunder right now - hope it is a quick storm as I want sun tomorrow.

Love the comments - Yes Lorna there will be lots of photos if the Internet is fast enough to upload. Today I am being picked up by my guide and we will do a proper tour of the City. Wonderful old buildings, great parks, and hopefully outdoor entertainment, with Churches and markets. History galore!
