Well it is just under 3 weeks to go and we are both starting to get excited now. This will be the first time that we will have traveled as part of a group. What will our fellow travelers be like? Will we get on with them? How old will they be? Will we be the "fuddy dud-dies" after all it is billed as an adventure trip and we were too old for the other trip they do through Indochina!

Mayu is being particularly brave as she suffers from travel sickness on coaches, buses and boats. We will be traveling quite a lot on coaches, buses and boats!
We had a bit of a shock when we realised how much all the vaccinations were going to cost. We are now pumped with Hep B, rabies, typhoid and are shortly going to start on cholera and malaria. The cost of which we could have had a two-week holiday in Europe!
We have also purchased several different types of rucksacks. I never knew you could get men and lady versions. I'm sure I tried on the lady one in the shop before I ended up taking the one that Mayu had bought - conveniently a mans one! Mayu now has a lady one which is slightly smaller than my mans one. No doubt the lady clothes will end up in the mans one and vice-verse!

Anyhow must get on with ordering the currency, sorting out the visas for Vietnam and getting passport sized photos for the other visas. At least the travel blog is now set up.

How exciting! And we're going to get to follow you on your travels. Watch it with all the vacinations - look what happened to Lance Armstrong.
