Bonjour!
After leaving Luxembourg bright and early on Sunday morning, we made it to Strasbourg. Fortunately, no Texaco stops were involved.
Strasbourg is the home of European Parliament. They're not in session until next week, so the city is pretty quiet now. My traveling companions, Jenn and Jess, and I are not staying with the group during this part of the trip. We decided while we were planning the trip to stay in an apartment, so that we could cook our own meals, and save money on other costs. We weren't able to get into the same apartment for the full 2 weeks that we'll be in Strasbourg, so we're switching on Sunday to another place.
We're going to school at the Strasbourg University School of Law, or something to that effect
Anyway, here are some pictures of Strasbourg. Next week, we have a reception dinner with Justice Scalia, and some friends and I are planning on taking a boat trip. The more exciting pictures will come then. We're heading off to Paris this afternoon, so I'll be sure to post pictures of that adventure!

. (Have I mentioned that I don't speak French?) The building is nothing special, but we have Justice Scalia teaching our Separation of Powers class for the two weeks that we're here. Talk about big nerd fun! So far, he has been interesting, engaging, and intimidating all at the same time. He's an incredibly intelligent man, and although I don't agree with his staunchly conservative views, I'm beginning to understand the reasoning behind his thinking. I'm enjoying his class tremendously, and it's getting me excited for Constitutional Law next semester.Anyway, here are some pictures of Strasbourg.
