Hello again, just to let you know that I now have a laptop so these may become more frequent but shorter or I might just keep them really long all the time to annoy people! Anyway we left from Kansas for a 22 hour train ride to Flagstaff on the 27th , the train was at 11pm so was a good time as it was easy to sleep through the night. We eventually arrived in flagstaff at around 10pm the 28th and Jo and her friend Chris who we were staying with picked us up (although I walked right past her not recognising her but I blame the big hat she was wearing). Anyway we headed up to there place which was just outside flagstaff in a place called Mountainaire and they stayed in a very nice log cabin up in the forest (not as remote as I just made it sound). Having had a very long day it was a pretty early night for us.
The next day we headed into flagstaff for a something to eat and then me and kev left Jo for a bit to have a wander around the town ???
???
. It's a nice little town with lots of nice shops to wander round and it was a very nice day which helped. We also went into a music shop and I had to restrain myself from spending a lot of money due to the cds being stupidly cheap I decided I couldn't be bothered carrying them round for the next few months so didn't bother. After meeting back with Jo we met Chris and headed up to a place called superbowl which is were all the skiers go. Very nice views up there and really busy due to it being a good season interms of snow fall. That night we headed out into flagstaff and met up with Jo's cousin Hannah and her boyfriend Dax(his real name by the way), not having a pop though cause he was really nice guy needs to work on his jokes though, the tumble weed rolled past the bar when he was telling them if you know what I mean, and we headed to a couple of places and seen a local band to.
On the Saturday we(all six of us as Hannah and dax had stayed at Jo's) headed to Sedona to see the red rocks. This isn't that far from flagstaff, about a 30min drive. Well worth the trip as it was probably one of the nicest places we have been to so far. It was really hot aswell and we ended up walking a lot further than any of had planned but im very glad we did as the views we got at the top of the hill and on the way were amazing. Once back down we were all pretty tired so headed in to the town to get something to eat and then me and kev took a wander around but not much to see as it's very touristy so went back to meet the rest of them and we went to a brewery for a while before heading back home A strange rock which i decided to hide in

. At night me, kev and chris went to see a film called semi-pro. Pretty funny but think id seen most of the funny bits in the trailers after that we went to meet chris's friend and played pool all night.
The next day we had decided to hire a car so chris drove us to collect it at about 10am. From there the two of us headed to the Grand Canyon. Took about an hour and half to drive there and surprisingly without any hitches. Only problem was getting good music to listen to on the radio as there seemed to be 100's of country stations but we found one classic rock station which was a relief, good driving music. Once at the canyon I think we had both kind of under estimated how grand the canyon was cause it is huge! As I wasn't really wanting to drive back at night due to lack of time behind the wheel we didn't have a as long as is needed there. It helped having the car though cause we got to see a lot more than we would have but we never went down into the canyon as it would have taken too long but we did go for a couple of walks around the rim but it was really cold and windy and we hadn't worn as many layers as we should have but for the time we were there we seen a lot, including loads of deer which at one point all walked right out in front of us on one of the paths we were on. We drove around to various view points but unless we drove for ages the views were very similar. Not having time to go down into it just gives me an excuse to come back I suppose but I'll make sure it's a lot warmer next time. Once we had navigated our way home it was early evening and we just decided to take it easy and sat around on the computer. Also we tried some smoked salmon from Alaska (chris is from Alaska and his parents had brought it) it was soo good! (not as good as yours mum just different?) anyway the next day we headed of for Las Vegas which we drove to and set off around 11am. Anyway I'll leave it there and speak soon(probably sooner than usual).

also added some pics to the last entry.
