Where I stayed
We spent three nights in Udaipur, spending one day exploring the lakes on bikes and one day exploring the palaces on foot. Unfortunately by the third day we had both contracted traveler's diarrhea, which did take some of the romantic shine away, as we were both constricted to the area of Udaipur surrounding our hotel toilet.
Other than diarrhea the only thing that is starting to get frustrating with India are the car horns. As soon as you step out of your hotel your ears are ringing, and should you be feeling a little sick it can make the horns at times unbearable.
Whilst in Udaipur my hair reached the length when I normally make the trip to the barber's. Although explaining exactly what I was looking for proved a little difficult, and he must have thought I was trying to say "I would like to look as Eastern European as possible". I was a little disappointed, but you can make your own mind up from the photo below.
Diarrhea and horns aside our three days were very enjoyable and from Udaipur we took a six hour bus North to Jodhpur.
