We stayed at a lovely little Eco friendly resort called Desert Coursers, it was only two hours from Ahmedebad served excellent food and was positioned right on the edge of the Little Rann of Kutch wildlife sanctuary. We stayed there for 2 days and 1 night so we could go in search of India's most elusive and famous creature, the Wild Donkey.

Although maybe not as impressive as a Tiger it was still really enjoyable viewing these animals surviving in the wild in some of the most baron landscapes I have ever seen.

Other than the Wild Ass, the sanctuary offered some great birding, and it was a little strange when the guide pointed out birds from the U.K. that were spending the winter here. But viewing these birds did feel like a waste of time.

After a very enjoyable couple of days, we took a very crowded bus back to Ahmedebad so we could continue our journey North.
