We arrived in Tofo with Jamie and Nina (an Irish couple) and picked up where we left off in Vilankulo spending a lot of time relaxing on the beach.

The peninsula that Tofo lies on is littered with whale sharks. It is an excellent place not only to view them, but to swim with them!

I spent one afternoon out on a boat looking for whale sharks, and was lucky enough to come across 4 of these huge animals. When we had spotted one of them I would slip out of the boat and swim along side them. They would pay little attention to me and you could swim so close that you could reach out and touch them if you wanted.

It was really special being in the water with something so large and is the best experience I have had since Charlie and I set off on our trip.

After the whales and the beach we caught what we hope to be our last 4am mini bus as we made the 7 hour journey with Jamie and Nina to Maputo
