We arrived back to Dar Es Salaam with the plan of organizing a train to Malawi. The train is 24 hours and travels through a national park for part of the journey. It has been something we have been looking forward to for a number of weeks, so we were both gutted to hear that the train is booked up for the next 10 days.

After the dissapointment of missing the train, we then got a bit of a fright after meeting a Finnish couple and a French guy. Both had experienced kidnapping and were forced to hand over everything (including cards & pins) before being released. So it was with a bit of relief and after four nights we took a 12hour bus West to Mbeya.
